Crazy as it likely was, I signed up to be the web designer for ETEC 540. With my co-designer Dieder Bylsma we created the website for the class. I learned some valuable lessons in the process.
- Communication is key.
- Configuration control is *really* important and needs to be communicated (see number 1)
- Servers go down, people make mistakes, backups are a wonderful thing.
- Patience is definately a virtue, and being able to explain HTML in ways that make sense to regular people is a very handy skill.
