ETEC 540 Community Web

9 09 2008

Crazy as it likely was, I signed up to be the web designer for ETEC 540. With my co-designer Dieder Bylsma we created the website for the class.  I learned some valuable lessons in the process.

  1. Communication is key.
  2. Configuration control is *really* important and needs to be communicated (see number 1)
  3. Servers go down, people make mistakes, backups are a wonderful thing.
  4. Patience is definately a virtue, and being able to explain HTML in ways that make sense to regular people is a very handy skill.
